Elena provides evaluation services to preschool and school age children, teens and adults.
For children, the evaluation is a two-part process. In the first meeting, Elena will record video speech samples during play and conversation. She will gather pertinent case history information during an interview with the parent/caregiver as well as review a thorough case history form, teacher questionnaire and any previous evaluation/treatment reports. Attitudinal measures will be performed informally and/or formally depending on the age of the child. A written report is generated outlining detailed findings and recommendations for treatment and is reviewed with the parent/caregiver during a second meeting.
The evaluation for teens and adults usually takes place in one meeting. Video speech samples, attitudinal scales and case history information will be gathered. A written report is generated outlining detailed findings and recommendations for treatment and is reviewed with the client.
